Feeling pretty laid back today and it shows! Eased into a vintage Pepe denim shirt, trusty black pants from who knows where (I have managed to rip the tag out at some point), and my tortoise shell heel wedges from Nine West - which I proudly got for $19. Purse by Coach. To carry even a minimal look like this into evening, I would add a sparkly short skirt, tights and some killer heels and voila - cocktail time :) TGTIF
Got invited out to "Catwalk Meets Canvas" by Jezebel Magazine. The event was co-hosted by the High Museum and Arts Partners held at Mercedes Benz of Buckhead on Saturday night. There was a fashion show presented by Saks, which is posted below - I had enough pictures of just the fashion show to do a separate post! Wonderful night admiring local art, visiting with local boutique owners and browsing their gorgeous items, eating tasty hors d'oeuvres and desserts and listening to great music - what more could you ask for!?! Two lines are worth a mention. I would be most deliriously happy to be presented with anything coming from the likes of August Miller design - the most beautiful jewelry, so delicate, yet modern - go ahead.... take a look! Also you can see one of the purses from the Blumera line in the last picture. The colors and cut outs on these leather bags, purses and clutches are to die for and the best part... the little clutch folds out to show a compartment for (I swear) everything you could want to carry and then some.
I wore an H&M dress - I adore the blush color and little ruffle layers, vintage velvet blazer, fringe purse was a gift and everyone knows where the shoes are from by now (no they don't come off !) ha ha ha
So, these are the photos from the actual Saks Fifth Avenue fashion show which took place at the "Catwalk Meets Canvas" event described in the above post. My absolute favorites are the bi-colored dresses - the first being the red/ beige leopard print dress in the first picture and the pink/ raspberry dress in the fifth picture. Also would wear the long, flowy white dress in the seventh picture - although you can not see the front in this picture, I remember it being draped at the top and very minimal - almost like a long t-shirt dress! Click on individual picture for a close up. All items can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Vintage Enzo Angiolini boots, Old Navy jeans and vest, Aeropostale shirt, Coach purse, silver chain doubled, dolphin necklace from the GA Aquarium, vintage turquoise ring, bracelet from Morocco.
Monday, I wore a mostly grey outfit, the lighting at work is not the best in this hallway, but the sweater is a purple/brown just to break it up a little. Mainly, I wanted to show the tights/ sandals combo - I am really into this look right now or socks/ sandals since the weather in Atlanta is perfect (at least for the last 2 days) to sport this without looking crazy (i.e. do not try this look yet in the snowy north)! Kenneth Cole skirt, The Limited sweater, Mossimo tank, Target tights, Calvin Klein shoes.
Today, I am wearing a vintage tunic, Target leggings, and shoes from Aldo. Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!
