Maxed Out

An absolutely gorgeous week all around! The weather is sunny (finally) and I am feeling the laid back days of summer in the air. In fact, I have pretty much been 'comfy' dressing all week. This skirt is the best. It is so old - I have no idea where I got it from, so soft. It has the prettiest flower pattern and pockets! I paired it with a scoop back Club Monaco shirt and Aldo boots. My Mom once said, no matter your age, showing a nice back is just as sexy as letting it all hang out :) I agree and am looking for the perfect scoop back dress, it somehow has to infuse showing my back and allowing to wear a proper bra - is that even doable?! This top is close, but sometimes the bra straps decide to wander a little.

I am so in love with these Asian/ Tribal prints. Got a whole bag for $1. Go on dream a little... what would you make?

Welcome to the Jungle

This is the best top ever! But...... I can not tell you where it is from since my BFF bought it for me :) LOVE the print and the bow on the left shoulder - how subtle can one be!?! I think I am over these black pants - they are a little giving which I did not want, so may be time to move on lol.  I am looking extremely tired and pale... time for some fake tan!! Yes FAKE since I have been a victim of skin cancer and nothing is worth that loves. Still loving my Nine West wedges I scored for $19 last year... even had a lady stare at my feet and say she had the same shoes, but did not know how to wear them. Hoping this inspires ladies like that everywhere. I am back to my inspirational days.. watch out now!!! Totally vintage glasses and excuse the hair.. this was at 7 pm  or later, when my hair was the least of my concerns. We totally are almost at Friday - eh Kirsty B?!??! :) (IN total LOVE with her site.. check her fab British style here). Hugs and kisses.... xoxoxo

Commander in Chic

Ladies, ladies - the perfect taupey/putty/greyish nail color for $7 - Sally Hansen, Commander in Chic! Love it! So the day was back to dreary and rainy and cold, so red always peps me up! Added red tights to a black Jones of NY wrap dress - which, by the way, can be played with and worn many different ways. I simply grabbed the ends and tied them in some of these photos for one fun idea! Other than that, black Nine West boots that I could wear until the end of time. The beautiful bracelet was a gift from Africa. Is it Friday yet?!?!? xoxox

Checkered Past

After a soaked St. Patty's Day, so glad to see the sun come out to play! I think we are almost to Spring and it will not be too soon. I am over this cold weather! So, my legs get to see the light of day after 5.5 months of hibernating. They are so happy! Now for the feet... is it too soon to wear sandals? Considering we are supposed to hit 70 this weekend - I think not!

One of my most comfortable dresses - from Target. I got it at the beginning of the f/w 09 season so it may be on the clearance racks! I.N.C top and Aldo boots (which def. are on sale now!).

Have a fantabulous weekend! xoxox

All Black Everything

Oh yeah - my all black ensemble! I need some new black pants - don't know why - probably won't wear them again until fall, but this morning had to reach into the depths of the vault to find this pair. No idea when I got them or where, but they are flared out and comfy so they work! Layered two tops that have semi sheerness to them, so no see thru at work. However, stepping out later would be a queue to take off the top underneath and sport my new $3 ruffle tiered tank by Miley Cyrus for Max Azria (at Walmart of all places) - yes I should be embarrassed but I'm not :) Super surprised that I raided the $3 rack?...  oh YES, even more to come!

Aldo shoes, Andrew Marc purse

Lighten Up

Got my hair did finally! Loving the new lighter color thanks to Tara at Aura Hair and Makeup! It is my nod/hope to spring coming any day now lol.

Wearing skinny pants from Target, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Gap T and a vintage 3-sizes-too-big sweater, that I could live in for days - in fact, I have :)

Oscars 2010 - Top 3

The ladies looked beautiful last night for the 2010 Oscars. While there seemed to be a sea of black, white and silver, the most vibrant colors were also on display showing purples, blues and pinks. My top three looks were Sarah Jessica Parker (picture 1) in a gold, embellished Chanel Couture gown. I loved the color, the gems and the cut of the back. Next, Nicole Richie in Reem Acra. The dress is very simple and more importantly, very Nicole. She looks classy and the reason I picked this dress is for the colors.... there seems to be every metallic mixed in with blue and grey smoky tones. Added bonus - her hair was fabulous. Lastly, the lady that made me gasp first while watching last night was Zoe Saldana - she is nothing less than perfection. Some may think this dress is over the top - not for me! She is at the Oscars, young and beautiful and in Avatar - over the top? Think again. :)

Celeb Looks I Love

I don't know about you lot, but I have been in a rut this week!! The weather has been dreary. I have inspiration abound from all the fashion shows and bloggers, but my closet feels like a long hallway of nothing. Time to snap out of it! I promise to take pics this weekend :) Enjoy the beautiful ladies above: Kate, Jessica, Anna Lynn, Harley, Elizabeth and Stella. Ohhhhhhhhhh waiting for those Oscar dresses... let's talk soon xoxox
