Something borrowed, Something blue

Borrowed my man's Calypso shirt. Too big but was comfy. I am trying to find the perfect button down shirt - you know with the right sleeve length, shoulder fit not down to my elbows and still loose through the chest and body - oh and not too short or too long. Whew. Not so easy. Anyhoo - I see the brilliant Elin Kling is also searching sooooo..
Wearing with Robins jeans, Qupid Luxe shoes, Chloe sunnies and gifted necklace. How is everyone's Cyber Monday?! I have already bought an Alexander Wang dress and Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Check  my fb page for deals!

Beauty on a Budget

Admittedly, I am a drugstore kind a gal. My makeup and hair products resemble my clothing, in that I love low end items mixed in with some high. The above are tried and tested and just work for me. I noticed I have Revlon the most in my makeup drawer (everything is buy 1 get 1 50% at Walgreens!). While most low end foundation products are hard to match, the photoready product above seemed easier, goes on smooth and has a more matte finish. I have learned to go with a darker blush as it looks much lighter in color once applied - peach in summer and mauve in winter. The brow pencil and gel above is awesome! I am on my 2nd tube!

For hair - I am a natural curl girl and John Frieda Frizz Ease products are the best. On about my 1,536,785th bottle of the serum and newly romancing the Dream Curls and 3 day straight...

I am back from NC already - that was quick! I had a fabulous Thanksgiving with my family with the annual food, games and relaxing. I wanted to pack real light and be comfortable but not a total slob so I chose ASOS black harem pants for the core of my outfits. I wore one casual sweater and T (Club Monaco) with desert boots for travel and one shiny silver sweater with 9W pumps for Thanksgiving dinner. The decorations are always beautiful at my parents house and the food was spectacular this year - look at that smoked turkey! My nephew and niece are so much fun. One techie (guess who?!) and one budding fashionista (looove your pink hair girl!).

Wearing 1969 collection Gap black jeans, Baker boots and LOFT sweater worn backwards. Can not wait to leave tomorrow for NC for fam time at Thanksgiving!

Week End

This outfit has been worn in a couple of different variations the past few weekends. Seeing the H&M sporty T's out right now just  made me go vintage, of course, with a Levi's "color blocked" version in red/navy. It was super long and narrow so I chopped the bottom half off. Loving this crisp fall weekend. Yesterday consisted of running errands, running 3 miles, photos, movies, cooking, e-baying and relaxing. Now on to today...Coffee!

Gold Leaves

Giambattista Valli showed this beautiful white dress cinched with a gold leaf belt in his Fall 2011 show and I loved it. Especially how large the actually leaves are and detail that almost makes them look like feathers. I can not wait to get to Macy's to check out his new capsule collection. Maybe today...
Jessica Biel wore the designer's creation to the Fashion Group International's "Night of Stars" event in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I think it is the most dressed up she has been in a long time. Bravo! So how can we recreate the look now? While I am not one to follow rules, I am not feeling a large white dress right now so I would most likely pair the belts I found below with more casual items like sweaters, jeans and maybe even a slim fit blazer.
This may be my favorite of the three with the 80's throwback to the white leather belt! Found it on etsy so you know it could be gone already...
Again this was on etsy. Not sure if the stretch belt would work until it got home with me. If not - simply remove the gold part and I would figure out a way to get it onto a piece of leather for a belt...
I found this lone buckle on Ruby Lane, ready to add to any belt. Have a great week!

Blocked In

Both the stripe and houndstooth sweaters I found while hunting for pieces for the Verseastyle Boutique. They will be posted for sale, check the site often for updates! I like them together for the obvious clashing pattern / same colors reason I always love to pair items. The skirt was an outlet find at BCBG. Old heels and H&M bag from last season. Gifted ring. I was trying a new style with my hair and am not real sure I will do it again, but hey it is fun to try!

The Square

In historic Marietta Square shopping and relaxing in an Arden B. dress and gifted bracelet and necklace.

Verseastyle Boutique

Introducing the Verseastyle Boutique! Any of you savvy readers notice the link to the right as of 11.1.11? I have been working, researching, shopping, photographing and now loading items that you can now purchase from the comfort of your home and have shipped right to your house! All items are hand picked as a verseastyle item that can be implemented into many of today's styles. If you have any questions on how to work any of the items with other trends from today, I would be glad to help you! The email for questions and purchases alike is shopverseastyle@yahoo.com. Full outfits as you see on this post can be purchased also! The items are checked carefully for wear and tear and I believe them to be of the best condition. All items are vintage to previously purchased - still with tags ( like a Calvin Klein blazer I found!). The concept I have came from you readers as the most asked question by far is how I find vintage items. Well now I can find them for you as well! This has opened a whole new experience for me since I can now shop all of the awesome pieces without worrying about whether it is my size or not. So, that being said, I will have items running the gamut from size 0 - 22. Check the shop often for new finds. I will be adding more this weekend for sure. I hope you enjoy!
